Katy Perry concert

This actually happned a few weeks ago but because I had four friends visiting from out of town that weekend I completely forgot to mention this. I came across a contest to win Katy Perry tickets a while back and made my friends enter just to increase out changes of winning and well what do you know...my friend Liz won. Of course since I was the one that told her about the contest she invited me to come along.

I first heard about Katy Perry when her infamous "I Kissed a Girl" song came out. That was just pure genius. Straight girls kiss other girls. It's an unexplained phenomena and Katy was just smart enough to write a song about it which turned into a hit. I also heard all her other singles that flooded the radio but I wasn't like a royal follower.

I gotta say the concert was better than I expected. I'd actually be willing to pay to see her again. She's a talented singer, she wears fun outfits, and her songs are fun too! I was surprised at how many of her songs I actually heard before, probably without realizing it was her. I was also surprised at how many of her lyrics I had memorized. She grows on your without you ever realizing it.

I would definitely recommend going to see her if she comes to an area near you. Her show is energetic, fun and relatively inexpensive.
