My mom has some really pretty wildflowers in her garden. The flowers pictured below are all various patterns of purple and white, but what I find amazing is that they are all growing on the same plant. I don't just mean the same kind of plant, but they are actually on the same plant. There is one thick main stem, and then a lot of stems of varying sizes grow off of the main one. These smaller ones are the ones that the flowers grow on. I never realized that such different color patterns of flowers could grow on the same plant.
Some are almost all white with just a hint of purple.

Some are mostly white with a faint purple outline on the petals.
Some are mostly white with a darker purple outline around the petals and a "ring" of purple around the center.

Some of the flowers have petals with really dark purple outlines and white centers.
Others have petals that are mostly purple with some white towards the middle of the petals.

Finally, some are almost all purple with just a hint of white.
Not only are the flowers themselves pretty, but all of them growing together make a beautiful arrangement. I hope you have enjoyed the many faces of these wildflowers as much as I have.
