The Zoo

I want to know why you don't love the zoo.
I stole a snake, a mink and a kangaroo.
They were here for a day,
then they ran away.
Now, I'm in a cell just like the ones at the zoo!

A limerick is a five-line poem with a set form. The rhyme scheme is AABBA. The third and fourth lines (the 'B' lines) are shorter than the rest of the lines.

What can I say again about what you write. I get chills on some of your work. I love talking to the animals in the zoos. I feel so bad for them also. Wouldn't it be great if all were released into the wild.

Ohhh, poor David, I feel for you! LOL :)

It would be, Annmarie, but they'd have to have a real place to go, I live in the state where the chimpanzee attacked that poor woman and never knew it was legal here to keep these types of pets.

I'm enjoying reading the limericks. I think you have this down pat. Mindful Poetry sounds like a good group.
Mindful Poetry is a great group, but John, I went back and read and re-read "your" limericks tons of times before attempting this one!
