Obese Texas prisoner hides a gun between rolls...

George Vera, an obese prisoner in Texas, has been charged with illegal possession of a firearm in prison after the authorities discovered a gun between his rolls of fat.

A police spokesman told the Houston Chronicle that Vera "was searched three times over the course of his arrest and booking at the jail but managed to conceal the handgun with his rolls of fat until it was discovered when he was in the shower."

Vera weighs about 500-pounds.

According to the Houston Police Officers Union, officers are now trained how to search obese people.

"We teach officers to lift up and look under," Union official said. He added that Vera was able to smuggle the gun as "the officer may not have arrested anyone this big before."

Actually, several people have been busted here in Michigan for bringing drugs into prisons in rolls of fat. some of the guys have even talked their girlfriends into packing on the pounds to be able to do it.

George Vera, is a victim- yes a victim of those evil corporations. This time its Burger King, or the Colonel. Fat content is not posted on the foods served at these houses of death. How was Mr. Vera to know that swallowing 22 Whoopers for lunch would add some FAT?. Or that downing 5 buckets of the Colonels birds w/ 17 sides of mashed spuds w/ 53 muffin sides could fatt'n him up. Mr. Vera, sue, its not your fault.

That is crazy. I guess prisioners will try about anything now day. There was a prisioner that broke out of jail in my town last week. He got shot so he didn't make it to far.
