When I was married to my 2nd husband I had quite the collection of angels. Some came from the dollar store, some pictures, so on. Well at Christmas Eric went to a resale shop and bought me 7 of them 3 was a set.
Well, when I get moved I want my office to be angels. Especially children angels I think it fits the foundation well.
My question to all of you I need ideas how to decorate in this them economically? Go ahead be creative. Where would I go to get more angels? How would you display?
I wish I knew someone who could paint in a creative way would love to have James made into an angel. No not a way like many think but he is my angel. Maybe of me holding him with angels surrounding us. But I can't afford that one. So I need advice here help me.
Remember one more thing this room is my office. Child Abuse is surrounded around it but I don't want it as a morgue. I want it uplifting and joyful. All of these children and adult survivors are my angels no matter if they are here on earth or not.

I have a couple of ideas. For your angel figurines, how about a small wall shelf, that you can display them on, without them being in the way, so that they won't get knocked over? I wonder if you could find a nice shelf (or a couple?), either at a tag sale or Craigs' List, maybe even on Freecycle?
Posters of angels would also be nice, for the walls.
I wonder......you know around Christmas-time, there are all kinds of angels in the stores and then they do the huge clearance sales - what about getting some then? I'll keep thinking... for the one of you and James, for hanging on the wall, if not a painting, how about a photograph? You can get one taken, or have Eric take a picture of you two and then get a frame (larger than the photo), and enclose pictures of angels all over, then place the photo of you and baby James in the middle -- the frame would have to have glass, I think, for everything to stay in place, but I bet it would be beautiful!
I'll keep thinking..
Hugs,
Marilyn
I got a corner shelf I thougth about putting behind my desk and making the desk like center kind of like a doctors office with a few chairs so if someone comes to talk. Then displaying the angels there but then again was a thought.
I also thought shadow box again a thought lol
I like your idea of me and James around angels. Would be really nice if I could get one of us with mainly sky scene.
My stepfather's deceased wife collected angels. She had it everywhere. There are still probably hundreds of her collections left.
My sister-in-law started collecting angels. Now people give them to her for her holidays. She's running out of room.
But, I wouldn't add too many of them to an office space.
I sounds like you have received some wonderful suggestions, Renee. Is moving day getting close?
Lee it will be between 1 and 2 months. We are moving into Nancy S place her house is being done.
at office supply stores, they have "sticky" copy paper; kind of like for name tags or address labels except it's all one sheet instead of being cut. you could copy your angels onto that paper. i would put some angels around the ceiling with a few at the top edge of the wall. you could paint the ceiling blue; maybe paint a couple clouds. that would keep the walls less busy looking. (am i rambling here? i feel like it!!)
if you have verticle blinds on any windows; angels could be "stuck" on a couple of the panels to match the ones on the ceiling & you would have "custome" blinds.
ok....i am rambling!!! :)
Meanwhile, here's one idea for a ceiling that makes me shiver. Could be right up your alley:
Then you can incorporate the angels on the wall just as others have suggested here.
Marilyn (still thinking)
You can hang them with thin nylon wire in the room.
