This is a variation on my own recipe for Texas style barbecue.
1/2 cup ketchup
1/4 cup brown sugar
2 T plus 1 t Worcestershire sauce
2 T plus 1 t liquid smoke
2 t mustard powder
1 t chili powder
1 t red wine or apple cider vinegar
1 t hot sauce
1/2 t onion powder
1 clove garlic, minced
salt and pepper to taste
1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts
Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes. Taste and adjust as desired.
Remove from the heat and let sit for at least an hour.
Grill chicken over medium high heat. Brush with sauce during the last few minutes.
Serve chicken with additional sauce.
I served the chicken and bbq sauce with steamed cauliflower and broccoli with cheese sauce.

Thanks for posting this to Family Friendly Foods & Recipes. You're featured for this wonderful meal.
Leave out the other spices and pepper but keep the chili powder.
Or try a white barbecue sauce.
I've never heard of a white barbecue sauce. What's in one?
