The Honor of being asked!

Most of you know that I work at my church. Well yesterday, the Christian advisement Manager asked me would I like to be considered in a pool of others that would be trained to offer christian advisement to members of our congregation. I previously wanted to do that with my wife. Because I know that we have a lot of information to share with others that are married, or even seeking to get married. The offer was a complete honor of me, as I believe that God would eventually have me to go in that direction as my full time assignment one day.

So maybe this is stepping stone or a open door in which God will use it to bring that vision to pass? Only time will tell. It's not a sure in as the Manager has to submit all of the names to our superiors and then eventually to our Pastors. But the mere fact that I was asked was really an Honor in my opinion.

I hope so as well, there are quite a bit of more experienced married couples, it seems we are the lowest ones in the bunch. Other couples have been married some 20+ and others 30+ years, where as we've been married nearly 10 years, thus far. Sometimes, the last shall be first and some of the first shall be last. I don't believe we are competing in this scenario, and we'll be ready, even if the answer turns out to be "not right now."

That's awesome, Henry! I didn't realize you worked for your church. Must be nice to have Christian bosses! Mentoring for marriages is a HUGE and much needed ministry. I know God has used my experiences of going through my divorce from my first husband to minister to others. If I had to go through all that pain, I want God to glorify from it somehow! I'll be praying you get the position!

I didn't know you worked at the church either. I thought you were in some profession dealing with logistics.
Sometimes a younger couple can relate better to wanna-be weds than someone who is a generation away and married 30 years.
Whatever it is, we know you'll give it your all.
