Cocaine Contributed To Billy Mays' Death

I couldn't believe this when I heard it on tonight's local news. But after what happened in Pittsburgh this week at the LA Fitness center I'd believe almost anything.
 
An autopsy on TV pitchman and McKees Rocks native Billy Mays found that cocaine use contributed to his sudden death.

 

The 50-year bearded TV personality died of a heart attack in his sleep

You just never know what people are doing...surprises me he did cocaine. But in this day and age it shouldn't be. Sad thing to hear.

So very sad. Both my husband and I were fans of Billy.
But cocaine was not the only drug in his system, there was also hydrocodone, oxycodone, tramadol, anti-anxiety drugs alprazolam and diazepam.

I know Billy had hip problems, and was going to have surgery again on his hip.

I know when you have constant pain, all you want is the pain to stop. When I had my accident, and was diganosed with herinated discs in my neck and back. to end my pain I was on many pain killers. After a few weeks of feeling zombie-like and still having pain I stopped the pills.

I was really shocked about this. Nothing concerning drugs should surprise us anymore. I'd guess that half of America is addicted or using recreational drugs at a dangerous level. When will we ever learn...

I'm actually sad about this. I genuinely liked Billy and thought he was just high energy/ADHD. Too bad. :(

Thats so sad. They have begun airing his commercials again, I find it kind of creepy when they air one he made right before he died - he opens with "Hi Billy Mays here, Im back again with ..." and he is hocking medical insurance.
