Mike is Seriously Talking About Getting a New Dog....(photos too)

My husband Mike already has a dog...Maggie is his, because she thinks he is. Maggie was suppose to be Angela's dog, but it just didn't work out that way.

Well, one of the guys that Mike knows from work has a handful of dogs that he's been 'raising' after they were dumped off at the side of the road by his house. There are actually 6 from one litter and 1 that came from somewhere else. Now, Bucky has about 7 dogs of his own, so he is trying to find homes for these. Suprisingly, Mike has been talking back and forth with Bucky.....and Mike wants to drive up to Tenn to check out the puppies. Of coarse that means the whole family has to go....and we have to make sure Maggie will get along with another doggy in the house.

 

We think these two photos are of the same puppy, but we aren't quite sure. 

The ears are just so tiny...LOL

 

 

 

This is the odd puppy out...it's not part of the litter...and Bucky thinks it has some jack russel in it.

Have to stay cool somehow....

Mike likes this one....

I really like this one, but Mike thinks she looks funny. I guess it will come down to which one we all end up liking and the one that Maggie gets along with the best.

Bucky has named the puppies....

"Bill and Hillary":  They're always "yapping" but never saying anything
"Elvis and Priscilla":  Nothing but hound dogs
"Shorty and Kaluha":  The cutest of the bunch
And…the terrorist dog,  "Pepper," a Feist/Jack Russell mix that thinks he's as big as a horse and as mean as a snake. 

Angela is all ready to rename whatever one we end up with....and boy, she has a whole list of names ready. LOL

Hope whichever you choose gets along with Maggie. I thought about getting a friend for Patti Beagle, but thought better of it.

Aww, such cute pups. Some look like they could have beagle and spaniel in them. Maybe a little bloodhound in the one and possibly a little doxie in the other. I like the one that resembles a spaniel, also the odd one out that looks part beagle. Why not come home with two? A person can't have too many dogs--ha! I enjoy my 3.

Ah...I don't think so. To me, Maggie is enough...but Angela and Mike don't even think Maggie is a "real" dog.

(Maggie is currently upstairs in bed with Mike...and her head is on his pillow)

I don't know. It will depend on the dog's personality, but if Angela can dress the new one up, Ang will be happy.

I don't know about the avatar either yet...

Those are big puppies. They look like they have some hound in them but much bigger than Beagles. She will probably get along with a male better than a female. At least with a male Angela stands a chance of having her "own" dog. Good luck!

The puppies shouldn't get to be more than 30 lbs or so. Maggie is around 25 lbs.

They are hound mixes...Bucky has been raising dogs for years, so he knows his dogs. I guess people drop puppies off at his house a few times a year, because they know he'll take good care of them.

He's cute, no offense, I had some hound puppies and my parents drowned them so I tend to not like hounds now. Your Junior is adorable ;)

If I didn't have so many dogs already, I'd love to get the one you think has some Jack Russell in it. Looks very much like my Sadie, and I just loved Sadie. She was a wonderful dog.

Maggie ought to be able to pick out the best dog for your family. I'd rely on her opinion.

Maggie enjoys all the dogs at the dog park, but she does do better with dogs around her size (if there is a group). All of these puppies should be around 25-30 lbs full grown.

I just don't want another lap dog. Right now, Maggie is sleeping on my side of the bed...grr. I'll have to kick her out when I go to bed.

Beautiful pups...look at the size of their feet, they will be big dogs if they grow into those feet...lol. I would love to get one myself but I know my 3 wouldn't accept them. They don't know they are dogs.

Great looking pups, it will be so hard to make a decission because they are all so cute. I'm sure one will pick your family, it usually works out that way. We just think we are doing the picking ;) Is Angela out shopping for outfits already? Can't wait to see which one goes home with you.

Gosh for a moment I thought something had happened to Maggie. I do think she is the one to consider when choosing a playmate for her. Whichever one you pick I bet Angela will be dressing it up.
