America promotes democracy all over the world. Now we are showing the rest of the world how to debate issues:
1. Go to town hall meetings held by congressmen from the opposite party. Don't bother showing up to the ones who represent you if they agree with you. Just the ones from the other party even if you don't live in their district.
2. Look angry, act angry. Scream, speak loudly, boo whenever you hear something you don't like.
3. Shout them down, attack early, don't let the congressmen talk, don't let anyone who supports health care reform talk.
4. Last but not least, send death threats.
North Carolina Representative Brad Miller says he's one of hundreds of lawmakers who have received death threats over the proposed health plan. As a result, Miller is cutting back on community appearances. All we have to do now is sit and wait for a lunatic to pick up on this, and act it out. Then, all lawmakers will be scared and not vote against health care reform, right?
This is not so new. We all saw them at Sarah Palin rallies last fall. So what's next logical step? Democrats turn up to GOP town halls and do the same thing? Is this what town halls are for?

It isn't nice to make up stories or to project guilt onto others.
Good post Jared!
I went to a town hall today. People who disrupted were escorted out. You ask your question and sit down or else.
Just look at the people screaming. Face, weight, everything. These people are not America's best and brightest. We can all agree on that.
Absolotely not. It is an affront to democracy itself. As Alan pointed out: " When you have 350 people in a room, 50 or 20 can disrupt the whole event."
How do you think those other 300-plus people would feel if they were not allowed to raise questions? I think that they would be mad as hell at the minority of loudmouths.
This could very easily backfire on these wingnuts. It shows how desperate they are.
If these people are the real America, I'd take Canada.
Never had a problem getting in to hear Obama speak.
"Maybe it's time to go buy guns."
Then the libby's will need to learn how to shoot them. The big question would be if they had the balls to use them when the time comes.
(computer problem)
Dexter S., be careful claiming being a combat veteran and owning an arsenal in a public forum. According to Jane Napolitano, Secretary of DHS, you fit 2 categories of someone who could be a issue orientated extremist, susceptible to recruitment by violent right wing groups.
Do you have the balls to shoot another American?
Hey, a girl has to be stylish, no matter what the conditions! LOL
My other "pretty" piece is a .223 Thompson Contender single-shot...used it for deer hunting in Texas, but definitely NOT a self-defense weapon!
So, does this make me Annie Oakley? ROFL
Sounds exactly like liberals tactics that I have seen at places where Conservatives speak! So, this must be an inside job...hired by liberals so they can say, "SEE! Conservatives are 'Domestic Terrorists'!"
When liberals rear their ugly heads to do this at "other" meetings or speeches at Universities, etc...no one calls THEM Domestic Terrorists...you have to be a conservative to earn that title!
What a DOUBLE-STANDARD!
However...
18 million of them earn more than $50,000 a year (with about 10 million making 75K per year)
10 million+ are not US citizens
Up to 14 million qualify for existing government health programs like
Medicare, Medicaid, and SCHIP.
Some of these numbers over lap... but the point is that its dramatically fewer than the 46 million myth.
This info come from the book, The Top Ten Myths of American Health Care: A Citizen’s Guide
It's a great book- it exposes the myths being purported today, and it suggests much simpler solutions to help the small portion of the population that really needs help.
the rest are just plain upset and want their voice heard, but they don't send death threats...libs do that!
Well there is a little flaw in your thinking Spartan,
If what you say is true, the insurance industry knows that this bill will result in their demise.....Gee imagine that an industry fighting against their abolishment!
I'm more concerned that he paraded his son around as a a prop to further his own agenda.
Are you also one of those who thought Gov Palin should never have showed a picture taken with her down syndrome son???
Good grief!
