| I wanted to share the following (from MoveOn.org) with those of you who rely on the "wisdom" of Faux Noise, Rush "the addict" Limburger, and their lying Republican Congressmen. As though it weren't enough that the fear-mongers are trying to get us to believe that we're going to put our elderly (and that includes me!) on ice floes to die, they're now trying to impress us with phony statistics from a company they call a "think tank" but which is, in actuality, a self-serving insurance company! Hey, Senator Dimwit, can you say "conflict of interest"?
It's not surprising that a private insurance company would publish biased information to misinform people about health care reform, which threatens their billions of dollars in annual profits. But for lawmakers who oppose reform to repeat these biased reports as facts without acknowledging their true source is disingenuous and irresponsible.
Here's a video of some of the Republican mouth-breathers quoting from the "scientists" at Lewin.

And thanks for posting this, Ruth.
Best government money can buy.
Sickening
Wouldn't want to upset the status quo of allowing your corporate donors to tell you how to think.
And I couldn't be happier.
Or maybe not. But it sounds good so I am going with that.
I actually know something about Binghamton, and thus by leaving here I become an expert about it anywhere else -- that works.
What I was saying was that simply by not being from Pittsburgh, I can go there and claim to be an expert on something about which I know nothing. People would believe I'm an expert because they would imagine that's the only reason I was invited to hold forth on the topic.
The presentation would be a reiteration of the same "we shipped our opportunity overseas" story heard in every major city of the U.S.
All of which is embarrassingly off-topic, but I'm happy if the continuing thread boosts your point take.
It wasn't? I suppose Binghamton wasn't named after Harry L. Crosby either.
The media have become spreaders of lies because they have abandoned their role as journalists. The fourth estate has never been this craven before. Very sad.
I'd like to see every family who has been trapped into handing over larger and larger percentages of its income every year to just stop paying premiums. Consumers have brought down companies through boycotts for years. How about organizing a strike against the bookmakers who masquerade as "health care providers"? LET'S BRING THE BASTARDS DOWN!! Let's stop paying them and go back to giving our money to the health care professionals who are earning it!
Watch out, Blue Cross. The villagers are approaching with pitchforks and torches and we're going to take the monster out!!
