Since we are shortly leaving to spend the day out of town...I ran out to Wal Mart to get some Dramamine (I get motion sickness). I had one thing to get a refund on & 1 thing to exchange, so grabbed that bag and took it with me.
I got my items & went back up to the courtesy counter, there was a line of people! There are 2 registers there, but I have never seen them both in use. I kid you NOT, I stood in line for 20 minutes!
THEN, come to find out, all of those were Wal Mart employees cashing their paychecks..yup, payday at Wal Mart. I am sorry, but I think they could have taken care of me and the lady behind me on the other register or perhaps asked the employees if we could cut in line? I do not know what the lady behind me ended up doing, but she finally made a disgusted noise & left.

Wal Mart is simply horrible. They killed all local businesses and forced business owner to become employees for 12 bucks an hour, former employee of local businesses for 9 bucks an hour. When they go bankrupt, I hope nobody says they are too big to fail.
I never had any problems with our Walmart, the pharmacy can be a little slow.
I work at Kmart and if it's a choice between a customer and an employer that's on (if they came in on a day off then they're a regular customer, too) who have waited for the same amount of time, we always take the customer. The employee knows to step aside so the customer can get taken care of.
