I have just come home from being at the hospital with Mark,
and I have t o say, I am feeling a lot better tonight than last.
He is still on respirator. but he can communicate with paper
and pencil, asking questions, he can't remember what
happened which is probably a good thing. I am sure it
will all come back to him in time. We went out for a bit, and
then came back and he was sleeping, the nurse said they
want to wean him off the respirator and to not talk to him,
so we left him sleeping. He had a small heart attack, if there
is such a thing, better than a massive one I am sure.
Wanted to let you all know with this update, thank you for all those prayers
I am sure they are helping him and certain they are helping me. I hate
August more than ever now. Will let you know as he progresses, he is still
very ill, but glad his mind is alert so he will be fighting. Love, Elsie

It is true that the older men often have a greater chance of surviving a heart attack. Statistically, the massive ones that tend to be fatal often occur in younger men.
You have been one of the great blessings of Gather, and I want also to extend my heartfelt love and appreciation for you.
Yours ~ Barbra L.
Best wishes for his recovery!
The power of positive thinking and prayer - I see it in all the kind remarks to you, dear Elsie. And I add my own... May your Mark be well again very soon.
Love, Mark
You are still in my thoughts and prayers.

Continuing to keep Mark, you and the whole family in my prayers.

I just saw this on my Comments by My Friends' page this morning. I'm sorry to hear of his heart attack, but I'm so happy to know that things are looking better for him. He's very fortunate to have you. I know you will give him the best care possible when he is strong enough to come home. Our prayers are with him, you and all your family.
He is a fine looking man. Someone whom I'd like to sit down and talk with.
Please don't hate August. All this happened on my birthday...so let me try and be an August light for you.
Love ya sweetie.
Thank you for the update. You two continue to be in my prayers,
Love you,
Marilyn
