On Day 29 (June 17, 2009) we went to the Cleveland Indians Game, as the 15th game/ballpark of our All the Ballparks Road Trip 2009. Game 15 was an interleague game with the Indians hosting the Milwaukee Brewers. The game started a little late due to rain and then ended up going 11 innings. It was the longest game by innings of our trip.
We arrived early to the game, but they had one gate open and a place to eat there. Below are photos of outside the park and my brother eating before we began to explore the part of the park that they opened early.

After my brother finished eating we explored Heritage Park, which is kind of the Indians version of the Yankees Monument Park. The little park honors former Indians and great moments in the teams history. The park is several steps down to the first part and then another set of steps to another level. They have wheelchair lifts to get between the levels, which seemed okay, but that led to the adventure of my brother and dad stuck in one of them for a half hour when it malfunctioned.

You can read about the getting stuck in the lift adventure on the blog here. To the left is a photo of my bro saying no pictures to me when they were stuck. Yeah, I am the evil sis always taking photos of him anyways. Below are photos of us with the Indians hats they gave us after the ordeal. Not that they needed to do anything other than get them out, as we totally understand that lifts can be unreliable and it is not the first time one broke with him on it.

I love finding the Statue of Liberty statues designed for every MLB team (I think for 2008 All Star Game). Many are easy to spot somewhere at the ballparks. This is the Indians one right by the entrance to the Team Shop from inside the park.
Below are some photos I took of the ballpark as viewed from out seats in section 432.

Below are some photos from the 11 innings game and the scoreboard at the end of the game.

Below are photos from the Hot Dog Derby. Ketchup won that night.

Some real good ice cream in an Indians helmet. Way better than the soft serve I ended up with in most of the mini helmets I collected on the trip.
Below are the mini bat and the balls we got at the park.

Read more about the Cleveland Indians Game part of our road trip in my post on my trip blog here. I am now back from the trip and I am trying to catch up on the photo essays, but still most of the in depth information on our various adventures is on the trip blog. If you are at all into baseball and ballparks I think you will enjoy taking a look at my All the Ballparks Road Trip 2009 blog.
