An Ordinary Man , by Paul Rusesabagina, who inspired the movie Hotel Rwanda, tells the story of the Rwandan genocide.  It also tells how Mr. Rusesabagina risked his own life and those of his family to save 1200 refugees. It is riveting, depressing and inspirational.

The film Hotel Rwanda details the efforts this man put out. Another person who actually deserved a Nobel Prize for real hardships instead of political statements that risked nothing...
