I Co-Authored David's biography with his first wife, Ellie Janssen. I had known both Ellie and David, and eight years after his death, Ellie relocated from Las Vegas to Miami. We had a chance encounter at The Jockey Club, and renewed our friendship. After many lunches and dinners, I convinced her to wrtie the book she had long wanted to do. After a couple of false starts with 'ghost writers', I told Ellie we could do it ourselves. I own fifty percent of the Copyrights, Ellie's estate owns the other fifty percent. With the release of my debut novel; The Execution of Justice, there was renewed interest in David Janssen-My Fugitive. When I learned copies of the original 1994 (Hardcover) and 1995-1996 Pasperback editions were selling as "Collector's copies", at prices ranging from $66.00 to $220.00 over the Internet, I decided to Update and release a Fourth Edition (Hardcover) at the original 1994 Publication price of $18.95.
David Janssen was an extraordinary actor, and though he starred, co-starred and appeared in over fifty films, and four television series, he is best remembered for his starring role as "Dr. Richard Kimble" in ABC Television series "THE FUGITIVE". He was a down-to-earth guy, who treated everyone with respect and dignity, and he was a good friend.
