Italian Festival

My brother, sister-in-law and I went to an Italian festival in Enfield CT last night. They had a lot of food, games and rides.

The festival was held at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Here are a few pictues I took around the grounds.

For dinner I had a meatball grinder. This is the Italian pastry I had for dessert. It was a puff pastry with cannolli filling. It was soooooooooooo good.

The chuch had a small Grotto where you could light candles. It was beautiful.

They had a few classic cars on display.

And of course, it wouldn't be an Italian festival with traditional Italian songs.

I'm going back to the festival tonight with some friends. Hopefully the rain will hold off. I think I might try the pizza tonight.

It looks like a lot of fun. My daughter would be having a fit...her favorite dessert is canoli (and no, I don't get it either).

JoAnn, looks to me like they pulled out all the stops for this festival. I've never seen a church festival this huge except for St. Peter's Orphanage years ago. No wonder you are going back.

What is a meatball grinder? I've never heard of that, or heard of it with that name.
