I Know It Exists
©2009 Robert Burnham
Where is my strength?
Where does it hide?
I know it exists -
Because in my youth
I wrestled the tide.
Where is my love?
Where has it gone?
I know it exists -
I still remember the time
I wrote you a song.
Where is my hope?
Could it be stolen away?
I know it exists –
As it did comfort me
In my younger days.
Where is my faith?
To where has it withdrawn?
I know it exists –
But I haven’t seen a mustard seed
In so very, very long.

Nicely done.
Perhaps you'll find your mustard seed in the Charity of the gifts He has given thee.
Where is it? It is still there in the same place. It hasn't moved, you have! ;-)
Great work, Robert. Thanks for sharing it with us. It's amazing how easily you can open up and show us your heart.
:)
(sidenote: Kushal says that you penned a poem for him a while back. Can you tell me the title or send me the link?)
I share my dog as much as I do my poems ! lol
:+)
It's "Bubba Jr. Seagull"
Things will look brighter for you soon my friend. Just open your heart and ask.

BOOK OF SHADOWS
thanks!
you're a sweet friend.
What of my strength in pain?
Can I make it through the day?
Is there all there is to life?
Only you can answer those questions for yourself.
Thanks for posting to my group, Anythingwriting

Just Me, Barbie
It flows nicely and the words convey a feeling of dispair yet with hope remembering what once was and may be again.
