Lately we have been having really nice weather ranging in between the 70's and 80's. However, a few weeks back we had a couple of extremely hot days over the 100 mark and unless we were in the water, we were more content in just staying inside in the air-conditioning. My kids get restless on days like that, and they decided to get creative and build a house (tent) in the living room.
They took every extra blanket and sheet from the hall closet and moved kitchen chairs into the living room. They used Daddy's shoes as braces and pillows too. They also dragged a Dora tent in there. The Dora tent was a "dog house."
Aidan was pretending to be a dog. He was barking and barking through the hallway. Maddie even named him but I can't remember what it was.
This was the doorway to get in and out of the house.
They had so much fun with their make believe house. They played in it for hours that day.
