Seems that Jimmy Fallon finally got his way - there is a Saved by the Bell Reunion. However, you can't always get everything you want and this time Fallon didn't. The big reunion actually took place as a large spread in the most recent PEOPLE magazine. The whole gang was there ready and willing to answer questions about where they've been, what they've done and who they've done it with. That is, all except Dustin Diamond, aka Screech. Seems after starring in his own sex tape and owing back taxes to the tune of $14,000 good old Screechie boy didn't want to make any kind of public appearance - especially in such a well-read magazine as PEOPLE. There's also a rumor going around that the rest of the crew wouldn't agree to pose for the spread if DD was involved. Which story do you believe?
You'll have to read the PEOPLE spread to get the answers to the questions I'm sure you're asking. But if you're wondering why Fallon missed his chance, according to Mark-Paul he never made any specific plans to lock them down. Guess he was all talk and no walk and now it was PEOPLE's gain. And apparently PEOPLE had the idea before Fallon...it just took a while to get the whole crew to commit (minus Screech...and Mr. Belding too, how I forgot).
Oh and did Zack really call Jessie (Elizabeth Berkeley) on the June Fallon show? According to a NEWSWEEK interview with him "That phone was a prop phone," he says. "That was acting, my friend." Good job eh? None of us ever had that figured (ya right).
I'm actually kind of bummed that they won't be on the Jimmy Fallon Show. I was looking forward to watching that and catching up with the friends I grew up watching. There's still rumblings of it so I'll hold out hope. I guess I'll just have to settle for some reading and pick up the latest copy of PEOPLE.
Are you disappointed the gang won't be on the big screen late night? Have you already picked up your copy of the reunion issue? Do you think it was Dustin who said no or did the rest of the team really not want him there?

Saved by the Bell Cast + People Magazine is not equal to a real reunion. That was lame! They should have appeared on Jimmy Fallon. I'm disappointed. I refuse to buy that issue on principle.
