Recently One god neighbor in apt 3 had moved away, and now the manager of the apartment building has moved away. For some reason, I knew that she would not last 2 years.

I admit that I am glad that the drama will leave with the manager. I may stay now for a few more years..

I know that I have no control over how fast the city makes whatever repairs they have been making on my street. But right after the repairs last year, they had repaved the same area that is being repaired now.

What a waste of thousands of bucks there.

Untill then, the bus that I usually got on, is diverted, and the nearest bus stop is several blocks away. Much more than I can walk.

During this exhile, I found out that friend who I thought may help, gave me the "cold sholder." One owes me $30 bucks. That figures.

I would go to new places to meet new friends, but not without the bus service. And that may return by the end of September. IF they do not mis-place any sewer lines.

Yep, for some insane reason, Springfield Mo; does not know where all of there sewer lines are. That set one project back by 3 months while the city played hide and go seek with a sewer line.....

Which explains why some of Springfield, MO's MAJOR intersections get flooded by several feet of water every time it rains real hard.....

I once remarked that the ONLY city with a worse water drainage problem is the fabeled city of Atlantis.

As soon as I can, I will buy a moped for mylocal transportation needs.

I hope the buses get back near you again! They've been fixing the same stretch of road near where I live for 2 years. They messed it up and had to redo it and now they're doing it yet again.

it this is the second year they have "repaired" something in this "basic 14 block stretch."
and they had to shut off the water both times.

that seems to be the theme this summer it was happening in several places in my area too! They fixed it but not good enough so they are fixing it again

Shouldn't companies which make these repairs, have some sort of guarantee that these repairs will be done right the first time???

you may have to move to Omaha, which is under a federal mandate to do something about the confluence of industrial sewage with rain run off in the gutters.

I lived in Sprinfield for 5 months. I imagine they are like most cities with outdated infrastructure. This is a huge problem.

I do remember going out to a farm area where these two teenage girls got up and sang very sweetly. It was gospel music in a Bluegrass melody. I was in heaven. I really miss the coffee shops where anyone could get on stage and sing at least one tune. However, you must wear shoes or have the TSA and EPA inspect your toes.
