Sentimental journey, sunrise, an old love song
Violins arcing atmosphere, torching blue sky
Breaking free, ascending rhapsody, yes to love
A river path, bridges to cross, hold on there's more
Within soft breeze, a chorus resplendent, teaching
Rejecting abeyance, hearts embrace, soulfully
Sandalwood hints, levitation mists, painted song
Scents of merry itinerary, tuning
Forever, lost souvenirs retrace, crested waves
Inception aspects, completion, moving on, turn
Crossroads, illusions, confusion, what to do, breathe
Two step dancing and fancy, sunsets smiles can save
Stepping stones are calling us back, but asking
Is there a holiday or season flowers fade
The violins rehearsing another rescue
Let us have faith, let us have hope, let us sing songs
Some are silly, out there with no maybe, but me
Filling in the blanks of our jigsaw destiny
Sunshine of your eyes finds Stephen Foster’s love song
Norman Rockwell scene, a page in time, stepping strong
You’re my destination from dawning to the dusk
With dreams of fairer weather, filled with love, then cusp
You’re leaning on me and, truth, I’m leaning on you
So glad I can rest my head in your loving arms
Simplicity and weeds win with laughter brewing
Meandering towards whatever time bequeaths
Explore your universe, let colors embolden
I am here or patiently awaiting your smile
Long days unwinding, it won’t always be this way
Too soon my boat will be sailing: Your happiness
Violins in the distance sending love each day

Thanks for posting to my group, Anythingwriting
I love violin music, Norman Rockwell, Steven Foster
and two step dancing!!
This is a real love story!!
Thank you!!
Weeding beautiful thoughts of lasting love
And sharing them with your fellow friends.
Though, honesty, Steven Foster nor scenes
From Norman Rockwell turn me on..nor
Violins playing in the background. Give me
Bob Marley or Rusted Root singing "Send
Me on My Way" or Cat Stevens' Hard Headed Woman
As I speed down the highway of my life.
The beauty in words you create seems to come forth so easily.
Let us have faith, let us have hope, let us sing songs
And I'm so trying...which is probably why it stuck out so very much, but I did love the poem in its' entirety.
Hugs,
Marilyn

I'm glad you enjoyed my verse.
I sometimes think of evocative words when I'm driving behind intelligence challenged drivers.
Speaking of starfish, I saw hundreds of them at low tide this morning. Does Sheila sell them too?
It is a lovely title. Violins and stepping stones. Mine danced to a different step in a different land, but the violins still play.
