I had very few friends on Gather when I first published this. I thought that many of the groups and friends I have now would really appreciate this one, so I reposted for them to see it. I hope you all  like it!

This a winning contest entry for the Buyline Classifieds dated June 16th, 2005. It was written by Destiny when she was 12. I won a free month of Tae Kwon-Do with this winning entry. I am posting this for Janie E, who as a daughter...moved me with her letter to her Dad. This is one of the reasons I am blessed... I have a great daughter too!

Destiny~

Why is my dad a hero? Simple! My dad is a dad, who would do anything for his children, even after tormenting him, still cal you "Princess," and most of all, love you to the ends of the earth and beyond. Superman was one of the greatesy "Heroes" of all time. When trying to compare my dad to a super hero, nobody came to my mind. Not because  the Fantastic Four, Superman, and Batman weren't all great, but because none of them even came close to my dad. My dad is the only dad who can make hos "owies" talk and make your owies go away. He is the only dad who will tell a story while drawing its illustrations in your head. My dads interests have always been his children and football. My dad loves his children more than anything. My dad is a dad who won't say, "I'm too old to play football," with his children. As my dad, he is the only father I know who will laugh and try to Fix it, after you try to cut your hair yourself, as every child has. My dad is one of a Kind,  the "BEST!" My dad ...is a Superhero!~

...I will die knowing that my daughter loves me. She for ever will be a jewel in my crown.
