Virgina is a common wealth not an actual state. Problems in the court are, and have been a problem for years. When a couple divorced, the mother not able or wanting to care for the daughter asked the court to give custody to her father. The Judge refused and the child had to be abandoned to the care of her father for a certain amount of time before the could get custody. However this prevented her mother from ever getting her back or having any right to even get visitation.
The legal system is broken and the government programs are set up to break families apart. We need to find a way to get these corrupt people out of the offices and agencies to change the way the system is set up.
I am saddened that this has happened. My thoughts are with you.
