The study, which appears in Nature Geoscience, found that climate models explain only about half of the heating that occurred during a well-documented period of rapid global warming in Earth's ancient past. The study, which was published online today, contains an analysis of published records from a period of rapid climatic warming about 55 million years ago known as the Palaeocene-Eocene thermal maximum, or PETM.
"In a nutshell, theoretical models cannot explain what we observe in the geological record," said oceanographer Gerald Dickens, a co-author of the study and professor of Earth science at Rice University. "There appears to be something fundamentally wrong with the way temperature and carbon are linked in climate models."
Well there you have it agaibn historical data entered into climate models and results don't reflect what records show really happened.
But I guess close counts in horseshoes, hand grenades and now Global Warming as well.

Someone forgot to tell you that science is not a democratic process. Science is about the emprirical evidence (which is sorely missing as the study shows). If you or someone else tells us otherwise, then you are not scientists, but members of a religious cult.

From where most skeptics sit, the actual numbers of scientists who are for or against AGW is largely irrelevant. Again, science is not a democratic process, but an empirical one. It only takes one scientists to prove or falsify a theory. The latest studies tend to falsify AGW. This post is a good example of what I am talking about.

I pray to GOD I am wrong on Global warming, but I cannot embrace a scientists who himself SUGGESTS something is wrong with the data and can't explain it himself.

The recent warmth has been greatest over North America and Eurasia between 40 and 70°N. Lastly, seven of the eight warmest years on record have occurred since 2001 and the 10 warmest years have all occurred since 1995.

To me it is an ouright LIE to misinterpret the facts. One Global warming model says Lake effect snowfall will increase because of evaporation from HEAT.
Even the glacier in the Sierras of California is growing from added evaporation caused by the warming of the Pacific Ocean, LIARS use this as an excuse to rebuff global warming.
They know full well they are feeding LIES but continue to do so.

I was doing research on one of the scientists who was an alleged denialist who signed the Oregon petition. Can’t recall his name but he did mention something along the lines of this article, that the models were flawed but he STILL stated that global warming was Real.
Denialist falsely claimed him as one of their own.
He was angry that he was placed on the denialist list.
I’ll probably remember his name as soon as I log off.

The article actually says that the historical record is accurate, EXCEPT for one oddball period of warming in the PETM period 55 million years ago. And that oddball period lasted for "the relatively short geological span of about 10,000 years."
In other words:
1) The historical record supports the current modeling, and
2) An anomaly that is yet unexplained occurred 55 million years ago over a 10,000 year period (which makes any use of it to "refute" present day climate changes occurring during a less than 100 year period absolutely laughable).
And you wonder why no one takes you seriously.
