One of the greatest shows on earth is right above you!! The stars in the sky! There are going to be three meteor showers that can be seen all over the world.
July 28 -29 The Delta Aquarids ~ Predawn, about 20 bright ~ yellow meteors occur per hour. Look for the meteors to fan out east, north and west.
July 20 ~ 30 The Capricornids ~ Known for producing brilliant fireballs. It's best to observe right after sunset. If you can see the Milky Way, you'll probably be able to see this shower.
August 12 ~ 13 Look toward the constellation Perseus (about halfway above the horizon in the northeast quadrant of the sky) in the late evening. Recline with your feet facing south and look straight up. The Persdeids should appear over your left shoulder ~ you could see 60 meteors in an hour.
Some suggestions to be able to see them better are:
1. Go to a large field or open space with other light sources. Your own backyard can work (that is where I am going to be!!!!)
2. You might want to bring your telescope or binoculars. stargazing map and a laser pointer.
3. The best time to look is on a clear, cloudless night. So hopeful we will be able to see them all!!!
good luck with viewing a wonderful starry night(s)!!! I am hoping to watch them with my family!!

However Earlier this year I was able to see two meteors with the naked eye, it was cool.
Hopefully I remember the 28 and 29. I'd like to see them too.
We saw the last one last year and it was fun to watch. Hopefully we won't miss it this year.
I'll have to look these up to make sure I see them. We don't have a star-gazing map :(
I'll find out.
