I can't speak for God, but what I know about Him, which isn't very much, and what I know about His creatures, we so-called humans, I would say He must be laughing His head off at us.
He created us as noble beings, the apex of all His creatures. He said to us, "I created thee rich, why dost thou bring thyself down to poverty? Noble I made thee, wherewith dost thou abase thyself?" Then God went on to admonish us, "Free thyself from the fetters of this world, and loose thy soul from the prison of self. Seize thy chance, for it will come to thee no more".
This is the high station to which God created us. Now contrast these words with the words and scenes spewed forth from the media on an hourly basis day after day after day.
One might think that God would be crying His heart out in abject sadness over our failures. I don't believe God is saddened over our behavior; He knows we are yet children, not fully mature. He can see the humor in our antics. He knows we will some day achieve maturity and will then fulfill our destiny as His most noble beings.
Please note: The photo accompanying this post is not really that of God. God is not a human being and bears no resemblance to one. A human likeness is used here to accommodate our limited human capabilities to understand spiritual reality.

Wonderful post. I would add that I believe God's unconditional love for us always results in forgiveness for our failures and misdeeds.
Parents mimic this love in a small way with their children. They forgive their children's mistakes and continue to love them, even when they don't measure up to their hopes and expectations.
And just how, pray tell, do you know that? Have you seen Him? ; )
(You are a funny guy, Thomas . . . )
I asked how you know that God "bears no resemblance" to humans . . . did He tell you that? Did any of these people you call Intermediaries tell you? Just how do you know that God does not bear a resemblance to His Created "children"? . . His "most noble beings" ?
Did you perhaps mean to say He may not resemble us? Or did you actually mean to say you know He does not?
So, you asked Him, and He told you?
says Thomas and then goes ahead and does so. . .
How do you know anything about God at all?
That He is a He
that He has creatures
that He finds their behavior humorous?
Where do you get your material Thomas?

Simply use that discerning heart and soul of yours to learn all about what Jerry thinks. No need for words brother. . .

I have had great mystical insights of the humor of GOD and have been "told" that I need to express that more myself, so far I have not ... :-)
IMnsHO.
"He created us as noble beings, the apex of all His creatures."
So, you see, it matters not.......
I will continue to see things as assumptions and you will continue to not see them as assumptions......
So, what is the point in discussion??
