Visitor On The Back Deck (Photo Essay)

Sweet Pea was going crazy at the screen door this morning trying to get our attention, so I went over to see what all the commotion was about. There was a frog on the back deck, and Sweet Pea was having a ball watching it jump all over the place and trying to mimic it.

I grabbed my camera to get a picture, but the frog tried sneaking away.

Here it is trying to hide behind the post and hoping we won't see it.

Here it is peeking around the post to see if we have left yet.

It realized we were still there, so it tried to make another getaway, and I managed to get a pretty good picture of it here.

Here is a close-up of our little visitor.

After I took this, I decided to let it catch its breakfast in peace. Sweet Pea kept checking on it throughout the morning until it wandered off in search of a quieter place to spend the rest of the day.

Yeah, it was pretty cute wasn't it? I thought it was even cuter and funnier, though, that Sweet Pea kept trying to play with it.
