Over the past several weeks, This subject has been raised countless times. First of all, It begs to be defined. At this very moment, well over six point one million people in the United States, and over twelve point five million people Globally are reblogging, and that's just one host. Granted, It's a large host, albeit one that few people have ever heard of or discovered yet.
Preliminary research, using Google by the way, indicates that the term was first defined as early as 2005 - 2006. At that point, however, it was generally understood as re-publishing an earlier submission. That is to say, deleting then republishing an article or series of articles with a new, fresh, dateline.
Over the last few years, on the other hand, it has been redefined. Currently it has taken on the form, " Hey. I just discovered this blog, web site, or article- Insert URL here, and I'd like you to see it. I think it's cool, or hot. What do you think ?"
In most circles 'Rules', certainly guidelines, are beginning to take form e.g. The authors name is, and the URL is _______ . Attribution. The thing is, it has yet to be fully defined or even understood.
