I was a bit surprised that I completely missed this concert in town 2 days ago. No matter, I wouldn't have been able to make it anyhow. I've seen Yes about 10 times over the years. The last time they didn't blow me away, but it was an enjoyable evening nonetheless. It would have been strange to see them without Jon Anderson, but I would have liked the opportunity to hear some material from Drama. The picked the 2 killer tracks from that album to play and since Jon wasn't in the group then, they never play them live, until now.
I suppose it is to Yes' benefit that Rick Wakeman's son is filling in for him, but I doubt that its a very good career decision for him. Strangely, another of Rick's kids has taken his place in another group he had been in, the Strawbs. IMO, they are condemning themselves to hiding in their dad's shadow. They will always be known as the sons of Rick Wakeman. But as long as they are OK with that then whatever.
I never liked Asia, at least since I was 12, so I really don't care that I've never seen them live. Sounds like I didn't miss anything either.
