Unfortunately, I'm interested in what usually makes news. Besides, they have photos posted in DROVES. I don't see how I'd get past that and still have "interests" I'm actually interested in.

Well the way I see it if your interst is News. You're getting it.

Yes, the problem is it's only from the ONE source.

I'm not real happy with AP either, Chuck. It is not what I had expected.

As you know, I saw that AP stuf as soon as someone mentioned it at that explained why I was doing horrible all of a sudden. This is why I created Best News Channel this morning Chuck. So far we have 34 members, or maybe it's 37. Any how, if we all work together and promote best news channel, we can eventually have what we had back. NO AP at BEST NEWS CHANNEL :)

I am having a linking problem at the moment, something is crossed, working on that. Best News Channel in groups search for now I guess. Soon, I promise.

I guess my interests were already set to my friends because I have not seen any of the AP posts I had to go look at what alot of people are talking about I did find them in the News Essential but that is the only place I see them

Hi Chuck and others - I wanted to make sure you saw this announcement from the Help Desk.



Thanks so much for your feedback regarding the recent site upgrade. Many of you are concerned that the Associated Press (AP) content is overwhelming member-created content; therefore, we will be making the following changes:

1. AP content will be removed from the recent posts and recent photos sections on the Explore Tab. These sections will exclusively display member-created content. AP content will continue to be displayed in the News Essential.

2. There will be a change to how we display content on your My Gather page, in the Content for me by Interests list. We’re going to tweak the content list to minimize AP content; this should return a higher percentage of user-created content. Remember, if you don’t like the results in this list, you can update it as often as you like by clicking “update interests.”

The time frame to make these changes is planned for the week of July 27th. We’ll let you know on Monday when we plan to have the changes live on the site. Thanks again for your input!

Hmmm! It's the squeaky wheel, etc...
