Nothing really serious I have chronic dry eye. I just need eye drops I hope that it gets better soon though.

Yeah it's not to bad. I have chronis dry eye. So hopefully the eye drops that the eye doctor gives me will help.

My mom does too. They told her she might have to have a cornea transplant someday because of it. So dry eye is serious, people just don't realize.

I don't think she'll have to have the transplant, but of course it is an ever present reality for her. She wore contacts most of her life, so when they found out about how severe the dry eye was, they forbade her from wearing them. So now she has to wear glasses. Except the glasses don't let her see as well as she did with the contacts. She gets so frustrated. She doesn't even know the floor in her home is dirty until she sees me cleaning it (it's not like I'm going to point it out, ya know?)

I have wore contacts since I was 15 I am 36 now. I take them out everynight before bed. I hope that my dry eye clears and I don't have to go to glasses. I can't see as well either with my glasses. Of course that doctr did ask my if I took my contacts out every day and I told her yes and I do but now I am worried. I hate wearing glasses espically in public. It would be hard after 21 years .

Maybe if you took the contacts out as soon as you settled into your home at night. Not right before you go to bed, but earlier. I think if my mom had done that, had taken them out right after she got home from work, she might have been able to keep her contacts.

The scary part is my diease has made me lose my vision in the past from what is called optic neritis so I thought when I had blurred vision it was from multiple sclrosis.

Maybe it is. I don't know. I'm not very educated about MS.

You know, my eye doctor recommended Systane eye drops. My mom has Restasis (is that how you spell it?), but the Systane are for during the day. I used it all this time so I could get my contacts back. Which hopefully I will at the end of the month. It's supposed to be the best over the counter non medical eye drops.

That is what the doctor I went to put me on. She didn't say anything about me not wearing contacts. Yeah MS is a confusing diesease. It has to do with nerves that can cause damage to all parts of a persons body. The first problem I had from it was double vison when I was driving. That was really scary and I still didn't know what was wrong untill 4 years later or in 2002 I finally got diagnosed.

Does the Restasis burn your eyes? It does with my mom, but that is an expected side effect she was told.

I wear glasses and contacts. I have chronic dry eye the doctor gave me eye drops for it so hopefully it will clear up.

I have chronic dry eye. I wish my regular eye doctor could have told me this. I thought it was from my illness or from having Multiple Sclrosis because it can cause blurred vision also
