What to do in Myrtle Beach, SC????

My teenage daughter and I are going to Myrtle Beach with some friends. We've never been before, so we're looking for suggestions.

We're looking for "can't miss" things to do, buy or see. Like, when we go to Ocean City, MD, we always to go the boardwalk, Candy Kitchen, buy Thrasher's french fries and Fisher's popcorn.

it's been a while since i went there - we went there 4 july 4th one year - it was a large group of us so we made a lot of our own fun - although i remember going 2 the carnival which was a lot of fun - the only negative thing i remember (actually 2 things) was getin quite the sunburn, and mosquitos :/

We haven't been in years, but Broadway at the Beach and Barefoot Landing are our favorite shopping centers down there. You walk outside from shop to shop, and it's really pretty. Barefoot Landing is over a lake, I think. I remember walking boardwalks from one part to another. There are alot of cool mini golf places, too. It's also nice to walk down the boulevard by the beach at night and watch the kids cruising in their cars and trucks (unless they don't allow that anymore. There was talk of outlawing it last time we were there, which I think was ridiculous. It looked like great fun to me.)
The only must-have I can think of from down there was fresh Krispy Kreme donuts. Yum. Have a great vacation!
