Good Morning all....I am back.
We had no internet connections at the campground even though we were supposed to! We had hardly any phone service and my battery kept dying. It was an interesting weekend. Full of rain, lightning, thunder, sun, laughter , danger and lectures!
Rain:....We just about pull up to our site and the drizzle starts. We get the screen house up and I put sides around it then the steadier rain comes along...I got soaked putting my tent up. My tent did have some leakage but not as bad as Matt's.
Lightning:...holy Poop....we had flashes of lightning that made me think either a UFO was coming down or it was the hand of God...
Thunder:...was un nerving....especially when in tents!!
Sun:.....the rest of the weekend was beautiful
Laughter:.... we had a few good laughs during the weekend...especially when my pants ripped on the freaking nails coming out of the picnic table
Danger...don't always follow your GPS!! We were in a friends truck and he is following his GPS and we go over these tracks....well...there was no road on the other side and we were headed towards cliffy areas...I had my hand on the door and prepared to jump out! Luckily he was able to turn the truck around and get it out of the dirt...he had 4 wheel drive in it...I joked that we can add off roading to our list of things we did that weekend.
Lectures:....we had alot and they were interesting....I was the clicker!! When Matt went up to speak ...I changed the screens for him...and I messed up!! I couldn't remember which side to click!!!LOL..
The ride there...went smoothly...no traffic..going or coming ..it was amazing. There is a point where Maryland - VA-WV are all within a few blocks. Passing the Potomac and Shenandoah Rivers was a moment of absolute beauty.
As we left yesterday morning at 6 am...going over the bridge....I looked to the passenger side and it was as if the hand of God painted the most awesome, beautiful scene. It was stunning(to me). The sun was rising on the driver's side and the way it looked on the pass side ....oh wow....
Well..now preparing to the final grand finale!! The cruise.....I have started packing!!
ps...half the people in these shots I do not know!! I took some random shots trying to get more views of the campground at Harper's Ferry. It is on the same road as the National Park...within walking Distance.
We did not get into that part...but we did go into the town.

I'll take a good look at the photos later in the week. Wow...what a trip. The Internet problems, the daughters, the campground issues...the vacation could have sunk some families but you guys always find a way to have fun even in the worse situations!
