I don't know if I've mentioned it on here, but we have two roosters and 45 hens. The one white rooster is mean and I've had him attack me in the neck before and on several occasions jump up and attack me (he does the same with my mom). Then, our other rooster in the other pen started to act up. He jumped up one day and attacked me in the back and then in the next few days attempted to leave the pen and follow me.
Then, he actually did chase me out and wouldn't back down even though I was fighting him off with my pink egg basket and broom. He just kept attacking my weapons, but finally he went back in. Baby chicks do the same thing too...they like the strings on my capris.
Yesterday I noticed a June Bug on the bathroom rug. My mom went to get a tissue to kill the poor guy. I said no and took the entire rug outside and spent the next five minutes trying to detatch him (which resulted in him climbing on my finger ewww!). So, he was safe and suddenly another june bug divebombed me. This happened last week too when I was setting one free and two kept divebooming me.
My grandmother always has an interesting story to tell about animals attacking. When she was four, her older brother had a pet rooster. The rooster spured her daily and no one believed her...until she was screaming through the yard one day and her mom saw her and the rooster close behind. Her mother responded by killing it and when her brother asked where the rooster had come from she firmly said "It was yours." Lol.
So what do you do when wildlife attacks you? Got any interesting stories to tell?
