WALLBERG, looking down on TEGERNSEE

On a recent trip to Bavaria, we took a gondola up the Wallberg - "Mount Wall" -

A TINY chapel at the top was locked, but sticking my arm through the grille with my camera brings you an idea of what it looked like inside...

This photo essay brought back so many memories for me. I'm pretty sure that we used to stop at a restaurant on the banks of Tegernsee for a special trout dinner when I was a teenager visiting my grandparents.

I lived in Wurzburg and Schweinfurt. Bavaria has many beautiful towns. Route 22 from Schweinfurt to Bamberg is a pleasant scenic drive.
