We all knew that Big Brother would have some fights tonight but NOBODY could have seen that eviction speech or eviction even coming! Before we get to that craziness lets recap the rest. Julie opened the show LIVE with the first audience of the season and they were ready to boo, clap and laugh at the right moments. It all opened up following the Power of Veto ceremony where Russel told Braden that Lydia threw him under the bus. He didn't realize that is what occurred and went to talk to Lydia about what she did. The only problem was the talk led into a huge blowout which was fueled by Lydia mostly. After telling her that she was caught in a lie, Lydia kept saying she never threw Braden under the bus. Braden used some foul language, which they didn't show all of it on TV, which really angered both Lydia and Kevin. While Lydia fought Kevin stepped in and began arguing as well. It led to more harsh words being thrown as the two walked into the house to spark up yet another argument.
After seeing Jordan cry over Braden getting nominated, Lydia was not happy. She thought that she and Jordan were best friends in the house and it hurt her that she cried over Braden but not her. Jordan had a reason though, Braden is on her team and she was crying morso because his nomination hurt her in the game, not because she likes him more then Lydia. It didn't seem like Lydia cared though as she and Kevin jumped all over Jordan for simply talking to Braden. They felt as if Jordan was agreeing with what Braden said simply because they are friends and that fight sparked, you guessed it, yet another fight! Oh the power of a Big Brother argument.
Not yet finished with their excitment, Lydia and Kevin went to Jeff and did the same to him. They attacked him for not standing up for them when Braden called them the harsh names, but Jeff fought back. He feels like he has a right to talk to Braden if he wants and them screaming won't stop it. I think the show portrayed Lydia and Kevin as the "instigators", even if that wasn't 100% the case but its also tearing down the "nice girl" image they planned for Lydia in the start. We'll see how far they go with that but as of now Lydia and Kevin are really looking like the Mean Girls of the group.
With the fights somewhat over the talk turned to the vote. Jordan and Laura talked, for once, and wanted to switch things up. They didn't want Braden to go as it hurts them as well so they wanted to grab Ronnie, Michele, Casey and Jeff to vote with them and kick out Chima. The plan was somewhat odd considering Ronnie is aligned with the Athletes, so having him help them really won't do them any good. It actually hurt their gameplay in the long run because this first vote has clearly down the line in the sand for the two sides of the house.
Now that the week recap is up Julie was back and ready to talk tot he houseguests. She talked with those who fought and basically wondered why they fought and what they thought about it. Jeff and Russell continued to quarrel a bit, while Lydia and Jordan claimed to have made up. I don't buy it. It was then time for Jessie's alone time with Julie where she basically made his head a little bigger, yeah thats about all that happened. When it came time for Braden and Chima to give their pleas to stay, this is where all hell broke loose. Braden's speech was nice and good, but Chima's was WOW. She basically told everyone why they should vote for Braden to leave. Most of her comments were bleeped out but one noticable one was Chima telling the entire world, and Julie to her face, that Braden called Julie a whore. Julie blew it off the entire show.... surprisingly, but I bet she'll have some harsh words for Grodner right about now. It was crazy, sadly they didn't turn up the mic of the audience though as that would have been priceless.
Everyone was still stunned by what Chima said but the votes had to go down. It was looking like Chima would go with 5 votes over Braden's 4, but Ronnie stepped in and voted for Braden. Forcing the first time in many seasons and forcing Jessie to vote. He quickly chose Braden to be evicted, sending out to the crowd which clapped? I wish they would let them boo... but where is the fun in that I guess? Julie was professional and didn't mention much about the comment. Braden basically said he enjoyed the experience and it felt like he was itching to leave. Julie's last comment to him was he was "going home" and I think that's putting her thoughts about his comment somewhat nicely.
It was then time for the first live HoH competition which was all about what America voted for in a poll about the cliques. The person who got it correct would get to eliminate someone from the challenge, the last person standing would win. After a few rounds all the Athletes were out of the game and it came down to Michele and Ronnie. Ronnie buzzed in first which gave him the win for the week, keeping the power in the same hands, somewhat, but I'm sure he'll try to stir the pot. It seems he likes to do that at least. With Ronnie as HoH I honestly have NO clue what he will do, I can assure you though with Dan coming into the house to host or something it will be a great Sunday episode!
