It seems like more and more this "dysfunction" (it's not quite a disease) is being discussed in magazine articles and showing up as a discussion topic in my e-mail in-box . Of course, the medical community's response is medication... with a long list of side effects.
As I've gotten older, and heavier... and gotten diabetes... this has been a MAJOR issue for me. Heck, I was the kid who arrived home from elementary school and ran to the bathroom before even saying hello to whoever was home! So, it's been an issue for a long time.
Now... I can even turn on the computer and make myself a cup of tea in the morning when I get out of bed...BEFORE going to the bathroom.
HOW?!
I've gotten into the habit of taking various supplements. The bladder is irritated by caffeine, sugar and alcohol. Cutting back on those will help it work better. I also take chromium picolinate (helps the cells be more sensitive to the insulin), cranberry capsules (help ease any urinary tract infection - full blown or incipient), and cinnamon (also helps the body deal with excess sugar in the blood).
All I am saying is that these work for me. Maybe they'll also work for you.
