Those are beautiful. Funny, if we see a stunted tree in nature its just a stunted tree. But, if a person takes a tree, stunts it on purpose and forces the shape, its art.
I thought small bonsai type trees were meant to be hardy and hard to kill.
But I'd probably manage to kill it too. I have black thumb.
Awesome photos, Kay~
I would like to visit an Arboretum or Bonsai Garden. And like you would love to have a Bonsai, but would probably kill it. lol ~I have such a time with plants. There are only a few plants, that can withstand me. ;-)
I love bonsai trees. Great pictures!
Great photos! I really enjoy bonsai trees as well. There is actually a lot that goes into growing them - you have to trim the roots back as well as the tops!
They are very cool looking trees.
these are beautiful, It's an artful creating these little guys.
I should try and grow one. Why not. They look like fun.
The first time I saw a red maple Bonsai, I saw myself as a wee little elf, under the leaves, living a fantastic minature life. Then I thought to save my cash and run around the world, looking in natures nooks and crannies for natural Bonsai, selling my treasures and looking for more ~sigh~ Well, the memory is still there, lol
Lovely bonsai. But it takes a lifetime to create. The National Arboretum in Washington DC has a pavillion for bonsai and there are some in there from 1700s. Still, they are beautiful to look at.
Awesome indeed! :-)
Blessings and best wishes - S.
Great looking trees! I'd love to have some of those in my yard
What a great garden! I've always liked Bonsai trees.
Yes, growing those is an art in of itself. Neat pictures.
Great photo essay. I've always wanted a small one in the house, but even as patient as I am, they grow a little too slow for me.
These are so fascinating and take a lot of patience to trim and care for.
They're really nice. Great photos!
I want a bonsai tree for in the house, but I am good at killing plants. :(
They are great. I have a pretty "green thumb", but never had any luck growing them.
I, too, really like bonsai trees but have never tried having one of my own to take care of. You took good pictures of them!
I used to have a plant called "Mother-In-Law" or "Snake" plant. I would transplant it into a larger pot every year. Then one year I couldn't find a larger pot to do the transplant. So I left it alone. I came home from work one day and the whole house smelled "Sweet". I went to water the plant and "Lo-And-Behold" there were white flowers. I wish I took a picture of it. I never knew "Mother-In-Law" plant could flower.
But I eventually killed the plant.... ; (
Thanks so much for sharing with my group.
They're magnificence in miniature.
Fun pix. :-)
