Today's picture is one that was taken while I was visiting the Franklin Locks. Dog are not allowed there. So this dog was stuck on the boat while his owners was able to enjoy the park. The owners did have the dog in the park for a little bit. But park ranger came out and said it was a no no. The dog was very well behaved and did not bark at everyone who passed by.

These cuties really wanted to get off the boat. You can see they were pacing. They were very well behaved. They never barked at strangers passing the boat as it was going into he water.
Here's some tips if you choose to take your dog boating:
- When starting out boating with your dog. Take short trips to see how your dog will react. Believe it or not, some dog do get seasick.
- Have your dog on a leash til it learns the bounties of the boat. If the dog leans to forward, he or she could fall off the boat.
- Make sure you have plenty of food and water for the dog in the summer months.
- Get your dog a life jacket. I know dogs can swim. But you may come to an area that has a strong current that could sweep your dog away. A life jacket will help in sure its survival.
Do you have anymore tips or suggestions to add to the ones above? I really hope you enjoyed the "Daily dog picture".

I don't think my greyhound can swim actually! Zelda loves to swim, but Datz never goes in further then he can stand. I have a feeling he would not know how to swim!
Cute pictures today sweetie!

I would get so nervous having a dog on a boat. Same as I would be with a little child.
