Well after going to school we embarked on the Tri Wizard Challenge. We were to start at the Mer-Mist Pond, go to the Dragon Nests and then to the Wizard Maze.
So, across in the square was the Mer-Mist Pond. Complete with 2 mermaids.

A girl in front of us - little baby - had her photo with the mermaid, so we thought we'd do the same. You can get a pretty good look at his robe here, too.

It was pretty wet in there, lol. We were to escape the octopus and mermaid (just statues) and rescue the friends (Harry Potter characters) and get out. By rescue they mean name their pictures. There were sprinklers on the top so we did get wet a bit. Felt good and my camera was hiding in my robe for safety LOL
Then off to the dragons (the green one posed for the shot, LOL)

We were to gang up on them or use a spell on them and steal an egg from those nests. One egg per person with a wristband on. So Gideon and I teamed up. The green dragon said he'd been stunned several times already but for the life of me that spell escaped me.
The only ones I could think of were Ridiculous (he says I'm a dragon in a sparkly suit!) (LMAO) and Expecto Patronum (which he thought we were making up, ROFLOL) In the end we got our egg with a little work and ran off to the maze.
At the maze, the Dementor was milling around. Wands ready we told him to get away and he did.

Merlin's Maze

Another look at the maze.

the other side of the maze

The deal was to get through the maze in 10 minutes before it collapses on us, lol. (Which of course, it doesn't collapse)
There was trivia before you went in. Some I was close but not quite right on and the others I didn't get as I wasn't reading, I was sewing, LOL. We did get 2 coins for getting 2 questions right.
The next part will be about the activities that we did before lunch!
