Shopping in a new department.

I have not been happy with the clothes the stores have been selling for a while. 

Yay for getting to shop in the Misses department!!!

I'm glad to hear that I am not the only one who thinks the styles right now are ugly. I thought maybe it was just me. Either that, or I entered the ugly version on the twilight zone.

Kewl you got to shop in the Misses section, but the cloth styles right now are just not nice for most.

I thought it was "kewl" and it did make me feel good. Too bad there wasn't much there to get excited about.

Congrats on shopping in the new department! .....I so agree with you about the clothing out there now, it's just plain UGLY!  Every time I am out shopping I always am amazed at how horrible most of the clothing is....who is buying this stuff? Not me!

It wouldn't have been me either if I hadn't needed something for the wedding. 

You might try shopping in some of the smaller stores or boutiques (i.e. not in the department stores).  That's where they often have nicer styles.  If you happen in on a sale day, you could find something really nice.  I have never much liked what I've found in the dress departments of big stores like J.C. Penney.

I think it's fantastic that you got to shop in the misses section of the store.  That's a big accomplishment, Sandra, and says a lot about the hard work you've been putting in to lose weight.  I love that your husband complimented you on the way you looked in your new clothes!  YAY and YAY!  Now to do a little "window shopping" and find some stores with clothes you like. :-)

Audrey, I was laughing when I read your comment. This town is so small that there are not any boutique stores within 20 miles. It is a good idea though. The stores in the bigger towns and the expensive tourist stores at the beach have more choices, but I was in a hurry.

I haven't seen you around much on Gather, how have you been? Is your knee better yet?

Ah, well, at least I made you laugh! :-)  I hope that sometime when you're not in a hurry you will be able to "shop around" and find clothes you really like!

I've not been around gather hardly at all.  Between work and taking care of myself, I seem not to have much time left over.  I've been doing okay for the most part.  My knee is somewhat improved, but not better.  I saw the doctor last week and he recommended that I get back to riding my stationary bike to help develop the muscles that surround the knee to support it, so I am doing that and hope it will really help

I haven't been happy with anything on the shelves for ladies over 45.  I'm happy to lose weight and think there should be high quality clothes at a reasonable price.

congratulations on shopping in a new department.   I used to buy a lot from JC Penneys but I haven't been happy with their selection lately either.

It sounds like a lot of people are disappointed with their selection. Is it just them or are all the stores sporting ugly this season?
