We attended the last day of the French Festival today held in beautiful Cape Vincent, NY on Lake Ontario.
Â
We have been back to Northern NY for several years now and this is one of those things we always say we are planning to attend, but we never do so today we loaded in and headed out. It is always nice to walk along the Lake in one of the quaint communities. We have several on the Lake and others on the majestic St. Lawrence River...we really live in a great area.
Â
There were vendors for everything from fried dough to jewlery to paintings to dips/sauces.....it was fun looking around. Live music played in the public green area throughout the day and there was a parade, fireworks, and pastry sale earlier in the weekend. Admission was free and we spent only a few dollars on a really great sauce...but we had a lot of samples while wandering about....
Â
So, we can check that off our list of local events that we want to attend....and I am sure we will be back another year to see it again. How was your Sunday?

That sounds like that was a lot of fun! My sunday was filled with errands, catching up on gather and doing some genealogy. I watched a movie earlier today too.
Sounds like a lovely way to spend the day Karen! I've just had a lazy day all by m'self, nothin' constructive hardly at all, but that was my plan for the day, so that's OK.
Sounds like fun!
We went to church & then came home to relax, we had a busy Saturday~
Just a day of rest for me after 'running' around with Scott Friday and going out last night. I have to save up my strength for the next few weekends. Pride is next weekend and the Park Ave Fest hits the first weekend of August.
It sounds like an interesting way to spend the day! So glad you enjoyed it!
I went to the flea market this morning and then to my booth at the Antique Mall this afternoon. I just made lasagna and a salad for dinner and then I will relax the rest of the evening.
Tom and I went fishing, then we went out for ice cream.
Glad you had a good time!
