The internet and phone was off. I even got my 7 year old grandson to help. It was alot of work, but worth it.

Good for you. Hopefully it wasnt too much work and you got a lot done.
The kids and I did that earlier today in the garden while hubby used the weed eater in the driveway

Kudos to the kid for helping Grandma! I sure hope he got milk & cookies or lemonade...
I mowed the grass in the ditch in front of the house, mowed the grass in the back yard, got the weed whacker running and whacked the weeds along the fence in the front yard. went into the backyard had to turn off the whacker to put new whacking twine on it. wouldn't start, have to try again another day.
When I got the whacker out Dakota started barking, and barking. Didn't like the
whacker at all. When I was in the backyard with it, he was biting at the black shield on the whacker. My wife said he didn't like the neighbor whacker either, wanted to attack it and the neighbor..

Good you got him to help now, when he is older he won't think it is fun anymore...and then he will want to lay on the couch and watch tv while you do the work...
