Ugh !!
Now, I have been working out at the YMCA for about a month now, so this is me with some fitness. Last night we headed out for the fireworks display at a neighboring town. It had stormed earlier in the day, but now the sun was out and things were going ahead with the festivities.
We got there, walked about a half mile, got good seats, chatted with some people we knew, and spent about an hour or better waiting. We could see across the river that they were getting the stuff set up...it was getting darker and darker, anticipation was rising in the crowd....
Then...........WHAM!!! A thunder and lightening storm like no other with a horrendous down pour and the car over a half mile away. Tom is way more fit than I am, so it will come as no surprise as we dashed between lightening bolts that he was ahead and suddenly...the nicest thing....HE STOPPED. and we ran the rest of the way together...He could have gotten there much, much sooner....but he knew I wasn't keeping pace with him....
We were soaked and we laughed all the way home that so many people sat for hours for the fireworks display to have it ruined only minutes before it began....it was a total loss....at least my husband WAITED...Many husbands weren't waiting for their wives or their kids.....
Have a great Sunday!

I find this rather romantic actually.
me too!
A moment to treasure for sure.
me too :)
That was good of him. Once your wet your wet, but I wouldn't like that lightening. Wasn't there any warning it was heading your way?
Not really..the sky got a little dark, but it was getting dark...and then..there it was!!
I always knew he was a nice guy! That was sweet of him to wait!
Give him a big hug. He is a gentleman! My husband is like that... it is such a blessing.
That's sweet.
That doesn't sound like a fun way to enjoy the fireworks!
I would have stopped to enjoy the rain.
That is sweet of him to wait for you, not sure if mine would have.
Well, that was really nice of your hubby! Have a super Sunday too!
That was sweet of him. I'm thinking mine would have done the same thing.
You've taight him well. Wait...or you'll never hear the end of things. Smart man he turned out to be.
Well, in that regard. The jury is still out on the others.
Very sweet Karen.
