Ok, I know this sounds idiotic, but, hey I am an idiot sometimes... This time, it really wasn't my fault, really!!!
Last night, the boys wanted a fire, so, being the wonderful, caring, and only one that knows how to make a "good fire",,,, yeah, that is what they do to to get me to do things...... anyway, I made a fire in the fire pit, and then, because they were hot, I drug out this old fan, that came out furnace. It blows wonderful air all around, it is very strong air. It keeps bugs away, and it keeps you cool.
Anyway, to make a long story short,,,,,, I cut up some wood, fixed the pit, poured on some gas and poof! A roaring fire was going. Then, everyone was HOT, so, being pretty inventive, I think, I pulled out this fan and plugged it in, and had it facing the patio table. Well, someone thought it would be funny to turn the fan my way while I was stoking the fire and moving the logs around so that I could put my cowboy taters in there instead of cooking them in the oven. While I was doing this, the fan was turned towards me and this big fire, and a flame or ash or something HOT, flew up in my eyeball and burnt it!!!! Now, I can only see out of one eye, as my left one is watering and red. I won't get into what I said, or how many cusswords I tried to not say, because they were all laughing and didn't realize how bad it hit me. I tried to not let it bother me too much while everyone was there, I even joked about it a little bit myself. After dinner, burger and taters and corn on the cob~~~YUMMY!!! were done and I put out the fire, I went swimming hoping the cool water would help.
It didn't. My eye is not burnt horribly or anything, it is burnt just where the ash or hot coal or whatever it was hit my eye. But, it is not going away, I have tears running down out of that eye, it is Saturday, and I do NOT feel like wasting the emergency rooms time, plus I HATE hospitals and doctors in general.
So, does anyone have any idea of what to do when your eyeball is burnt?
Quit laughing, LOL< I know, but really, I thought about putting some aloe in there, I have put an ice cube on my eyelid, no help... one more note, I can't hardly put a contact in my eye, as it gives me the creeps,,,,,,
Do you think it will heal up on its own? I can see thru the watering, but it really hurts and I have had to keep it closed most of today.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated...... I thought it would be better today after I slept last night, but here it is 7:00 at night, about 24 hours or close to it later, and it is not getting better
thanks for listening, as the boys who were so happy with the fire and messing with me are not around today to see what they did to poor old mom... Although, knowing them, they would just laugh harder today
note to self, no more fires for them!!!!!!
