I would like everyone's thoughts and prayers for a longtime friend that is going through some tough times now. Her husband doesn't want to be married to her anymore and they have a 2 year old girl together. He's going to be a doctor through the army and was over in Iraq for a year and he just came home a couple months ago. She has been rasing her child by herself most of the time because of this and now she is going through a tough time with this news. She let me know yesterday and I so feel for her and would like all of you to put her in your thoughts and prayers. I thank all my gather friends in advance for this, since they have helped me through tough times this year.

I hope they are getting some counseling. These long times away can be such a challenge to the best relationship. Prayers are with her and her little one.
He doesn't want to go through couseling, and I have no idea why. He really wasn't too excited when she got pregnant, he never wanted a kid. I think that and the being in Iraq is too much for him. I just hope all will be ok for all of them.

This is such a sad story! I hope and pray that everything will work out for the best. Children are the ones that suffer the most during a divorce.

Hope everything works out for your friend. My ex-husband, also, was one of those "Ya know, I don't think I want to be married anymore" types - AFTER we had 2 children. However, he was just a jerk and I agree with the other posters that I think your friend's husband may be dealing with PTSD. Sending positive thoughts and prayers for strength her way.
