Intense sun and warm summer days are made for the beach. It tends to bring out the best smiles in everyone. If you keep getting confused, our beach is on the Southern shores of Lake Michigan, in INDIANA! No ocean needed. The lake and lighthouse keep popping up in those spectacular sunset photos. It's just a few minutes drive from the house.
Last weekend was the annual Pro-Am beach volleyball tournament on Saturday. Then on Sunday was the annual big main street parade. We got smart and found a spot on the beach early.
Today is some beach jam activities, with rides, food, bands, in a carnival atmosphere.
Sunday is the BIG BIG BIG event, fireworks at the beach. 30,000+ people show up. A fun, long beach day. To get parking, you better arrive early. We claim our beach spot at 8am. And leave about 11pm. The weather looks perfect. SUN!! And hopefully a good sunset.
Next Sat is another long 12 hr day....its car cruise to the beach. 600 classics and hot rods will cruise in and be on display.
Then we have to put up with art festivals, powerboat races, a boat show,and oktoberfest.
No need to waste a warm summer being indoors.
Let's go play at the beach.

I'd love to be on the beach right now.
That is a long time to stay at anyplace for me, lol. Three or four hours and I am on to the next thing. Watch with the tanning though, you don't want to get skin cancer. Make sure you spread on that SPF and stay safe. And don't forget to post beautiful pictures for us to see.
Summer is always too short, so the more beach time the better.
last week we went to Marina del ray ,had picnic there...and it's so lovely to be outside free from all kitchen works...
