In the past couple of days I posted pieces on here detailing a few of my emotions as I traveled through Savo's wonderful book. This book is being something to be read, it is a journey to be experienced. Wanting to leave reviews on as many book websites as possible, I knew I had to cram as much as possible into one paragraph. This is what I came up with for sites like Amazon, B&N, Borders, Chapters, etc.
Love Really Does Conquer All.
Savo has a way of writing that fills the reader with his experiences. I felt like a fly on the wall in the rooms where his family lived, experiencing what they experienced as I traveled through the pages of this wonderful book. Not only was it an accurate picture of the cruelties of war, it was a testiment to how LOVE can work miracles. The love his family and friends shared for eachother, and for their fellow humans, is what truly saved them all in the end.
Next Walker is going to read it. For the past tw days he's been following me around like a little puppy. "Are you done yet?" Just like a kid in the car on a long road trip. He sure is looking forward to reading it. I might have to leave it on his pillow so he can get started bright and early, then again if I do that, he might forget to run next door to the farmer's market and get us fruit, vegetables and meat for the next week... I'll wait'll he gets home, and then I'll give it to him. :)
In his book, Savo mentions traveling to Banja Luka, a city in Bosnia. I found this extremely interesting, since I've recently found the following radio station on line.

I absolutely LOOOOOOOVE the music on this station. It's absolutely wonderful!!!
When Walker has finished reading Savo's book, Mom's going to borrow it. It'll probably work its way through my family, with copies given as gifts. I already have friends in town who want copies N O W ! :) Hey, it's a pleasure to get the word out.
Walker and I are meeting my sister & friend, cousin, and her new baby on Monday at Second Cup for a coffee. Walker suggested getting there an hour early, so he'd have time to sit at the nice outside tables where I've been sitting for the past few days, and read for a while. A great idea, and with the arrival of my relatives, three more adults exposed to this great story.
Just one question. What will I read next? Nothing will be able to top this wonderful book.
I have just left reviews at the following websites:
http://www.chapters.ca
http://www.amazon.com
http://www.barnsandnoble.com
http://www.borders.com
If anyone else knows of a good place to review this book, please let me know. And Savo, if you're reading this, and need a review posted somewhere else, please don't hesitate to let me know.
Now I just need to figure out if I'm going to finally go to bed, or if I'm going to sit here listening to Bosnian radio all day. The sun's already up.

I wish I could order this book, dear Sis... first, because it sounds to be the most interesting read, judging by your review, and second, because dear Savo is among my Gather friends as well. Thank you so much for drawing our attention to his work! :-)
Love and hugs - S.
You are more than welcome, Dear Sveta. If you were to order a copy of this book on your own, or if someone were to send one to you personally, would you receive it in Russia, or would whoever is in charge of your mail have a problem with it? I'm remembering what happened when Walker tried to send you the book about Mary Magdeline, that one time.
It seems, dear Sis, that Amazon had so much trouble with our post service & customs that they don't send books to Russia anymore save through a special international courier - which costs twice or thrice as much as the book itself...
Love and hugs - S.
Hello Sveta.
Why are there so many problems in Russia? What is going on?
I was just thinking. Does the Russian State Library have an English section? If so, would the RSL be interested in having Savo's book on their shelves? If the library had a special way of ordering books, and got a copy of Not My turn to Die, you'd be able to read it! Also, I think the Russian response would be extremely interesting. What do you think?
Dear Sis - RSL has books in every language, and I presume they will be interested to have this book on their shelves, but I will need to make inquiries.
Love and hugs - S.
Please do, and let us know what happens. Wouldn't it be nice to have a librarian in every country, on Gather? I knew that if there was anyone out there who might be able to help, it would be YOU!!!!
Great review Leah, and you *had* to mention that farmers market right outside of your door. Argh! Can Americans still move to Canada? Just a thought...
Of course, you're welcome to come to Canada, and bring the American dollar with you. it's still worth a few more cents than the CAD is up here, so Americans coming up here will be good for the ecconomy. Also, you can buy Savo's book at our local book store, so that'll help the Canadian ecconomy too, and his book sales will spike in Canada.
So, come on up!!!
As for my husband, when he gets like a puppy, you know he's excited. :) :)

He is an amazing person to know. I dind't know him either, till I discovered him here on Gather. :)
I hadn't yet seen this comment when I responded to your response on my "what is religion" article. directed you to Savo's book, but now I see you're ahead of me on that one. GREAT!!!! I did leave you some details about the Gather points program.
I'm so glad this wonderful book is on your library sheet.
