(( This week is suspense, key words are in bold))
They watched him from the hilltop mansion for decades
and Szzzat finally admitted to Zzzat that the suspense was killing her, he would never finish the story without help..............
"We've done it to some humans, so why not Him?"Queried Szzzat.
"Okay, we will, for fun if nothing else." answered Zzzat. So they kidnapped him one
dark and stormy night and took him to the abandoned warehouse, where they tweaked his DNA a bit and let him go.
The world was Astonished when Snoopy quit trying to write,"it was a dark and stormy night"
and wrote a bestseller instead...........

Funny, penni. Isn't amazing how we can drag cliches around and use them against all the rules. Neat job.
I am laughing at all the posts that actually put "That particular "cliche
in...and they were good,too! Who'd a thunk,lol
I am delighted once again as to how you you manage writing these so seemingly effortless. I promised myself I would participate in the genre stories this week, they are so much fun.
Actually - I forgot to tell you - I loved it, Penni:)
Thank you, dear almost neighbor Rose :)
it is a lot of fun, and on the days I can't think of anything, i just go read what everyone else has contributed.. usually get a big laugh out of them
Now we know. The mystery is solved. Snoopy is a wealthy doggie. He can finally stop sleeping on top of his dog house. Woo Hoo.

Penni, you are such a tease! Excellent take on the prompts.
This was very cute and funny Penni, I seem to remember snoopy lol, from when my kids were little, I think your take on the prompt is great . Snoopy seems to have a great life.
Haha, well done! Are you personally aquainted with Szzzat and Zzzat? I could use a little help myself ;) I especially appreciated the extra effort you made to highlight the key words for us, it really drove home the impact!
:)
This is simply delightful!! You have such a wonderful mind! I have always wondered when he would finish it too! I wondered if he would ever get to page 2...LOL
I used to beg him in my mind to finish the darn thing, lisa...at least now, he has,lol

I get it. ;) Gotta love Snoopy !
I have long held the same thoughts about Snoopy, Penni. Thanks for giving him the boost he needed to get over his bad opening line. Cute and clever!
Very cute story, Penni.
Literature is going to the dogs.
(Groannn!)
Brilliant!
Cute ;)
Enjoyed it.
And all Snoopy needed was 20 plus years and a little help from his friends, or friend, Penni. Now can you help me write a best seller?
I think you need no help, Marge. your ongoing current story is done quite well, yay :)
Thanks Penni. Love your sense of humor.
Charles Schultz, may have started a new story and under the name of Snoopy didnt want to get any farther.
Good show, Penni! :-)
So he made it at last!
I used to follow Snoopy, but haven't for a long time...
Hi Penni, I do remember the Peanuts strip as well as all the animated specials; and , yes, "It was a dark and stormy night..." does bring back memories of those carefree times. I am so glad that he finally got past his Writer's block. I think this picture would do very well for the back cover.
